Eight in 2008

As always I think meme's are silly things and I'm very bah humbug about them but since it's Christmas Eve and the great Iain Dale has tagged me I suppose I shall have to partake in the meme silliness.

So eight things I'd like to see in 2008:

1. A general election
2. Th resignation of at least one of Brown's cabinet to show they have some conscience between them.
3. A good fight for the US presidential election
4. The removal of Robert Mugabe somehow
5. Me having more inspiration about what to blog about
6. A new series of Nearly Famous
7. The eventual release of Manhunt 2 on the Wii
8. Jonathyn Rhys Myers naked in my bedroom.

I shall tag James Cleverly, Shane Greer, Mike Rouse, John Moorcraft and Hot Ginger and Dynamite

If you are ever short of inspiration, I always turn to South Park as I did on my blog today.

When shall I come round?

Not guilty. If I was going to pose as Jonathan Rhys Meyers I'd at least spell the surname correctly. By the way, there's only one 'f' in Sanddef

;)

Cheers for getting me out of a blogging hole yesterday. I was almost forced to blog about the umpteenth showing of Moonraker, but your eight for 2008 got me off the hook. Here's mine (don't know if it makes sense to anyone outside the revolutionary left, but what the hell).

1) For a trade union leader/leaders to take the plunge and call a conference for the setting up of a new party.
2) The continuing implosion of the BNP and the scattering of its activists to the four winds.
3) A good set of Greater London Assembly, Mayor, and local election results for the left.
4) The deepening of the revolutionary process in Latin America. For it to move forward in Venezuela, and a defeat of the secessionist right in Bolivia.
5) For a high profile workers struggle to be successful, giving heart to hundreds of thousands beyond its purview and sounding the death knell of neoliberalism.
6) A doubling (or more!) of Socialist Party and CWI membership.
7) Proper comradely relations become the norm for relations between leftist activists.
8) Militant: The Musical takes Broadway by storm.

I love spelling peoples names incorrectly to annoy them :)

Phil BC - I can honestly say that I hope every single one of your eight does not happen. Most entertaining though :)

Lol, not even the demise of the BNP? ;)

Shit - good point. Really should have re-read them before saying that!
Yes fine I'll give you no. 2 - but I definitely don't want the rest! :)

A level of Manhunt 2 set in the HoC would be a wee bit of fun.....
