So in the last month the government has lost the data of 25 million child benefit recipients, six more discs from HMRC, pensions data on hundreds of people, been condemned for the way it handles sensitive personal data, lost the data of 6,000 vehicle owners and now today has lost the details of millions of learner drivers. I mean - bravo. That shows a level of incompetence and disregard for public opinion far beyond the imaginations of anyone only a year ago. It's almost as if there is someone within the government desperately trying to make sure I.D. cards scheme never comes to fruition by creating data havoc all over the place. However sadly that is not the case. The truth is the government doesn't care if your details get lost, they don't care if you become the victim of identity fraud, they don't care that they couldn't run a secure IT system if their lives depended on it. They just don't care because they are too focused on being in power rather than using their power for something other than consolidating the power they already have.
We cannot stand for it. This must not continue. Heads must roll. If any of these incidents happened in a private company then a dismissal wouldn't be far behind - yet we've had scandal after scandal for a month and yet nobody has resigned from the government yet. What happened to the idea of ministerial responsibility? Has Gordon Brown's cabinet even heard of it?

Responsibility is not part of nulabs makeup it dissapeared along with honesty and integrity at the demise of John Smith. I am a frustrated dissillusioned and now ex Labour voter. They are not fit to lick the dirt off the shoes of the working man whom they despise with a vengence.
Gordon Brown reminds me a lot of Paul Martin, a liberal politician in Canada, who replaced a sitting prime minister (from his own party) and was eventually defeated by a tory. That should be good news for Cameron.
...and if it hadn't been for that canoeist Harriet Harman would have gone by now.
Have you had that interview yet? Hope it went well and have a happy Christmas.
Just had the interview this morning Phil - should know in a few days. Fingers crossed and prayers please!
Isn't it sad that Labour lose so many personal details on so many occasions that the media barely reported this story?
Good Luck! Fingers Crossed!
Hope you know either way before Christmas.
Phil
